Overview

The StateRAMP team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Government Engagement Team. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting our Government Engagement Directors, and other staff, by conducting research, compiling data, and assisting in drafting collateral and documents. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in government relations and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on state and local government and various educational institutions employees, structures, and relevant topics.
  • Compile and analyze data to support various projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in drafting collateral, reports, and other documents for the Government Engagement Team.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Collaborate closely with Government Engagement Directors and the COO/General Counsel on assigned tasks.
  • Support the team with any additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Either currently pursuing a degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Cybersecurity, Information Technology Management, Information Assurance, or a related field; or in a graduate program related to the aforementioned fields.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to learning and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Previous experience using CRM and/or project management applications preferred.
