The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, with a proven track record of managing high-volume payrolls for 2,000+ employees weekly across multiple departments, locations, or classifications. This is a critical role requiring strong analytical abilities, the discipline to meet strict deadlines, and the communication skills necessary to collaborate with HR, Finance, and employees to resolve payroll inquiries and ensure 100% accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Submission of weekly and biweekly payrolls with accurate processing of any and all deductions and earnings for employees
  • Maintain accurate records of and compliant procedures with wage garnishments and withholding orders, including the setup of 3rd third-party payee, payment setup with remittance, and scheduled deductions
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate submitted reports
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the Human Resources team, department managers, and other accounting team members
  • Complete other general payroll and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience using ADP Workforce Now in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to process payroll for 2000+ employees per week with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of payroll best practices, multi-state payroll tax laws, and standard accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal — with a focus on customer service and responsiveness.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, multitask effectively, and prioritize competing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with reporting tools or other HRIS/payroll systems.
